The brand “Tenute Matranga” comes from the winemaking company Benenati in 2017 from a vine branch of the 1975 Matranga Family Agricultural Company located in the ancient territory of Segesta.
A place rich in history and culture, with the ancient greek temple of Segesta dominating the valley, as well as the Greek Theater and the outstanding hills.
You will find yourself surrounded by perfumes coming from ancient times; the wine must, fruit trees and ancient wheat.
The foundation of our tradition is the respect of territory and culture of the sicilian wine.
We follow the tradition on the ancient seeding, grafting and collection of wheat, olives and grapes. All respecting the raw materials which give us in change a consisting annual production.
Everything is fused with the passion, commitment and enthusiasm for what we do, without forgetting love for vineyard passed down from generations.
The presence of Antonino Matranga as chief of the family company provides, with his devotion and passion in working the raw materials, the preservation of the old connection with the territory and the innovation of the production.
His wife and collaborator Elvira Benenati deals with the aesthetics and organization of the company together with the business relationships.
